For architects and engineers
Specify it once.
A hand-mixed screed is only as good as the shovel and the bag. Ours is batched by computer on the truck to the specified mix and certified daily, so what you write in the specification is what goes on the floor.
What the standards say
Sand cement screed is not a substrate for resilient or textile floor coverings. ScreedMax Pro engineered screed is.
| Floor covering | Standard | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Resilient sheet and tiles (vinyl, linoleum, rubber, VCT, hybrid) | AS 1884:2021 | Sand cement screed subfloors shall not be used. Where falls to waste are needed, an engineered screed shall be used. |
| Carpet tiles | AS 2455.2:2019 | A sand/cement screed shall not be used as a substrate for textile floor coverings. |
| Carpet | AS 2455.1:2019 | A sand/cement screed is an unsuitable substrate for textile floor coverings. |
Build-up and product
Check a build-up against the range before you specify. Ask us for specification wording or test reports.
